Location: Queenstown
Distance: 28km Hike
Our Ben Lomond hiking ladies completed 8 weeks of training before we met on a slightly wet Saturday morning. But the rain didn’t dampen spirits as we powered up the big climb to Ben Lomond Saddle. We stopped at a scenic spot near the saddle for lunch before descending the other side. Crossing the river, we then followed the track to the Lodge, tucked away in a stunning, secluded spot. Hot showers and tasty snacks by the fire were the perfect recovery, followed by drinks and dinner outside under a gorgeous evening sky. The night was filled with laughter, great conversations, and a book swap, making it truly memorable. The next day, we hiked back along the Moonlight Track, finishing at Arthur’s Point. With amazing camaraderie, positive vibes, and plenty of determination, the group embraced the challenge and enjoyed a weekend full of smiles, stories, and unforgettable moments.
